Goal: Create an educational platform to increase awareness of and prevent bullying in football teams
Target group: Coaches and leaders across Sweden working with children and teenagers
My tasks: concept development, UX/UI design, e-learning content production
Year: 2023
The challenge was to design an engaging educational platform addressing bullying in sports and fostering team spirit. Our solution was a responsive and interactive platform accessible on all devices, featuring self-assessment tests, e-learning modules and exercises. In this, I was responsible for ensuring an easy-to-follow, engaging and visually appealing user experience across all medias. I produced all design-related e-learning content and collaborated with external firms to produce videos and a custom graphical profile for the training.
Based on the custom graphical profile, I designed a landing page through which users access all learning material. I focused on creating a clear hierarchy and intuitive navigation experience, ensuring users could easily access the learning modules no matter what device they're on.
One challenge with the tools we use for e-learning production is their hard coded stylistic limitations. I utilized various creative workarounds to achieve smooth and aesthetically pleasing transitions between all segments in the training modules. I also bypassed some of the restrictions by writing custom CSS code, ensuring our brand could come to full bloom throughout the whole user learning experience.
The humanitarian focus of this project pushed us to deliver that little extra. I approached the project with the mindset "If there were no constraints, how would I design this?" which led me to find innovative solutions that resulted in a very customised learning experience. We ended up exceeding the expectations and I am pleased by succeeding to create what was initially thought of as impossible within the scope.
